1. Pre filter - pre filter:

This equipment is a coarse filtration equipment, which is used to filter large particles such as sediment, so as to protect the water purification equipment and shower heads behind. The filtering accuracy of 90-110 microns is enough. It is too small and easy to be blocked. The backwashing pre filter is easier to clean the filter screen.

2. Activated carbon bottle

The function is very simple. Activated carbon is used to absorb the residual chlorine, peculiar smell and variegation in tap water. Of course, some high-end central purifiers also have more additional functions, which are convenient for installation, strong practicability and easy to replace filter elements. It is also the mainstream water purifier equipment now.

3. Central water purifier / central water softener (due to being in the south, these two kinds of water purifiers are not discussed in detail here, because the price is expensive and the water quality is soft)

4. End direct drinking machine

This involves direct drinking water sources such as kitchens, which are subdivided into UF ultrafiltration water purifier and RO reverse osmosis water purifier.

1. UF (ultrafiltration) ultrafiltration water purifier: the filtration accuracy of ultrafiltration membrane is 0.01 micron. While effectively filtering bacteria, viruses and various suspended solids, it retains some minerals and trace elements beneficial to us. It requires various catalysts to remove some heavy metals, and the TDS value has not changed much. It is suitable for Southern areas with better overall environment or relatively soft water quality.

Advantages: the range of allowable temperature and pH value is large, minerals and trace elements beneficial to human body can be retained, and the taste is better; the filter element has long service life; it can operate under low water pressure, with large water output; it does not need to be powered on and pressurized, and the cost is lower compared with other purification equipment.

Disadvantages: the filtration accuracy is not as good as RO, and heavy metals in water cannot be filtered.

2. Ro (reverse osmosis) reverse osmosis pure water machine: the filtration accuracy of RO membrane can reach 0.0001 micron. In addition to the substances that can be filtered by ultrafiltration water purifier, it can also remove ionic impurities. Basically, only water molecules can pass through RO membrane, so the TDS value of purified water is very low.

Advantages: the filtration is more thorough, the water quality is controllable, and the high TDS value means that it is time to replace the RO membrane.

Disadvantages: the ratio of pure water to waste water is 1:3 (i.e. drink 1 cup of pure water, RO pure water will discharge 3 cups of waste water to the sewer), which is more waste water.

※ at present, there are two types of reverse osmosis pure water machines on the market: bucket or no bucket. The pure water machine equipped with water storage bucket is cheaper, but there will be microorganisms after a long time of water storage, which is easy to cause secondary pollution. It is more recommended to choose the pure water machine without bucket. Although the reverse osmosis membrane cost is relatively high, it is more reassuring.
